Tree Survey for Planning and Development
Most planning applications require a tree survey that is in accordance with BS5837 when trees are on or adjacent to your site.

Local planning authorities use our planning and development tree surveys to evaluate the impacts that the development may cause to trees throughout the construction phase of a development. This mainly consists of defining a Root Protection Area (RPA) to protect the tree's roots from harm from various sources, for example; excavation by machinery, compaction from storage of plant or site cabins, leeching of fuels/chemicals/cement into the tree's rooting environment.

A tree's root protection area is often outlined and protected by temporary metal fencing to protect the roots, which prohibits all access to the critical rooting are of the tree.
Our tree surveys for planning, with the included Arboricultural Impact Assessment provides detailed recommendations to guarantee the proper protection of healthy trees on the site, minimizing the risk of damage.

We can also provide an Arboricultural Method Statement for any development, which tells any contractor on site to comply with the correct procedures, so to not damage any trees on site.
